In the last 13 days, as American troops wonder whether the reports that Russia is putting bounties on their heads are true, Trump golfed. He campaigned. But he hasn’t said a single word condemning Putin or suggested a plan of action to stand up for our servicemembers.

  4. The electoral college is undemocratic. Created to protect slavery and the privilege of the wealthy. America would also be better off with strict limits on campaign spending with public matching funds. and love of Confederate flags/symbols says it all!

  6. Happy Independence Day, 4th of July. “All men are created equal” was a noble sentiment but it left out women, indigenous people and millions of enslaved. We still have much work to do for true justice. Time to live up to noble words!

America was born out of an act of resistance. As we celebrate this weekend, I can think of nothing more patriotic than those who've spoken truth to power like Lt. Col. Vindman & those in the streets these past few months. My op-ed:

What I’m asking to do is very simple: Certify—by letter—that if Lt. Col. Vindman’s name is on the list for a promotion, it will not be taken OFF the list before it goes to the White House. It's that simple.

We had a Senate briefing this morning to try to finally get some answers about . Yet, color me shocked, all I could tell is that none of the people sent to brief us could answer our questions. We need a hearing now.

Our military is one of the most diverse institutions in this country. And for Donald Trump to pervert it, politicize it and use it against fellow Americans exercising their constitutional rights sickens me to the core.
