Will you be out there at the community meetings with NYC Councilmembers to support the construction of the 5 new, smaller detention facilities in the boroughs needed to close Riker's Island? There will always be some pre-trial detainees, and they have to be held somewhere.

5 new facilitate? What plan does that come from? 4 jails already exist in 4 boroughs. 1 of them is totally empty. I hope ppl support the Lippmann report which would prevent unnecessary ppl from being detained in the 1st place.
