We strongly disagree with this ruling. As of 6 PM tonight, 160 NYers citywide remain in custody 24+ hours after their arrest, which is some progress, but 160 NYers too many. When American politicians try to stir up public favor to go to war, they tell us that (insert country here) uses police to beat up protesters, uses gas on them, and jails ppl for no reason.

unconstitutional! Article I, Section 9, Clause 2 states: “The Privileges of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended unless when in Cases of Rebellion of Invasion the public Safety may require it.” Only Congress has the power to suspend the writ of habeas corpus.
