This is such an unfair blanket characterization of the vital role district attorneys play in our criminal justice system. As a former ADA, I take offense to the suggestion that I and those I served with would ever push the innocent to plead guilty.

More unfair and mendacious rhetoric from a defense organization. Sadly, it’s not surprising. You make it sound as if law enforcement deliberately tries to get people who are innocent to plead guilty. That statement is a complete unadulterated lie.
