Paul said that these things were a shadow of Jesus and to not get caught up in the feasts or the law. I don't begrudge keeping a traditional Sabbath, but I don't begrudge those that don't either. Jesus is the Sabbath, and He is the only Sabbath that needs to be kept.

TCW the law is yard stick by which we know sin which allows us come to place of brokenness & repentance. You mentioned that we should not get caught up in the law yet Christ in HIS own words says otherwise in Matt 5:20 these manifestations of the faith is Love towards G-D .

You hit it on the head by calling the law the yard stick, the fact is that no one does, and no one can measure up. That is precisely why we need Jesus, because we can't keep the law. He will continue His good work in us, but if course this has to do with our character, not feasts

Yes you are correct we can not measure up b4 we have faith but now that we have repentance in keeping with the faith why do we continue in sin willfully? Hebrews 10:26 gives a dire warning to those that continue willfully sinning ⛔️

We shouldn't, but we do. We should strive to stay out of sin, yet we will sin. Jesus stays true to us that when we sin He is faithful to forgive us our sins when we readily. I want to be clear, however, that there are parts of the laws (dietary and feasts) that are no longer sin.

Right off the bat he gave a straw man argument. We don't say not to keep the Torah because we aren't Israel, we're not all dispensationalists. We say it because it was determined in the first council in the book of Acts and confirmed through Paul repeatedly.

R U SURE about the book of Acts doing away with the Torah last time I checked & counted the Book of Acts had Paul and the Apostles keeping the Sabbath over 80 times but who's counting right? I wouldn't bore you with all the other facts.

Paul kept the law for the sake of the Jews he was ministering to, which is the reason he circumcised Mark but not Titus. In the book of Acts they had a council about this very subject and the council determined that they should stay from sexual immorality, idolatry and blood

This council was brought about because those of the circumcision troubled those who were uncircumcised saying that they must be circumcised and keep the whole law. Of foolish Galatians, who has bewithched you?

CS the Temple was for the 3 pilgrimages of the 7 feast so yes that part is done away until the 3rd Temple is rebuilt, but the observation of the Feasts is still in place. Much of that biblical tradition was lost because of the Roman Empire taking over the faith in the 4th century

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God" 1 Cor. 3:16 We are the temple, when the veil ripped after Christ died it symbolized that there was no longer a barrier between man and God and that the current system of the time had no bearing as God now dwelt within His believers.

The council was brought upon so that the new believers would have a bare bones minimum of what was expected, the rest was to be learned on the Sabbath during the Torah teachings. Paul prevented the new believers from having to do the Talmudic teachings which are not biblical !

The second party is found in verse 5. Those were believers. ( they had salvation through faith in yeshua ). They were saved. But pay attention to what’s next. “ it is necessary to circumcise them and to keep the law of Moses. There’s no third party. 1/2

Paul and the elders knew that as the new believers matured and heard the preaching every Sabbath they would begin to practice the "IT IS WRITTEN" Torah . Historically speaking the Didache pontificates on the point that the gentiles were Torah observant thru faith!

Okay check this out. During the council you’re talking about in acts 15, there are two groups. Verse 1 describes this group as the circumcission party that said “unless you’re circumcised, you can not be saved” ( salvation is by faith alone.) we all agree 1/2

There’s only two sides to this council. 😊. Show me the third that says the law shouldn’t be kept after salivation. There’s not. 1/3. I lovingly disagree brother. In fact Isaiah 8:20 says if anyone comes and speak not to the law , then there’s no light in them. 1/3
