& I struggled with writing a tribute to this great man but very thankful that I was able to assist in getting him to one last Lakers game & one last boat ride out of Newport on the Vixen 2 these past few weeks. As I said could go on but now it is time to end this tribute

through the good & not so good times in our lives. There are far too many stories to share in this space including the night I rented STAPLES Center out to him for his 60th birthday party with the Village People headlining arguably one of the best events we hosted

& look over at his courtside seats or wait for him to walk by where I stand each game on his way to the Chairman's Club. There will never be another like Norm nor will I ever forget him, how our bond & friendship grew over the yrs & how we were there for each other

in the arena world. His sense of humor, wisdom & generosity were off the charts. We laughed, we played but most of all we were there for each other. I will miss him dearly, will think of him & the beautiful & wise beyond words, Mary when I'm working a Lakers game

Back in 1989 Norm gave me my 1st suits all Armani's that he wore maybe once. It cost me $4K 2 get them all altered & I was only making $43K at the time living in Marina Del Rey. & yes it put a big dent in my budget but because of his generosity I was the best dressed Dir of Ops

The Vixen, after Mary, was the 2nd love of his life. We traveled to more Lakers road playoff games that I can remember. Norm would schedule the private jet, secure the courtside seats & me, I'd get us all access to every arena we traveled to.

when Westwood One was struggling. I was not referring to the story only meant it was a great photo. we were friends for life after that. Over our yrs of friendship we shared many a dinner, thousands of boat rides on the Vixen to Catalina, Newport, Malibu all up & down the coast

The world of radio & podcasting lost a legend, the Lakers lost a super fan of 30+ yrs, Mary lost the love of her life & I lost a best friend of over 30 yrs. I met Norm Pattiz in December of 1988 as the newly hired Director of Operations for the Forum with a "nice press" comment

Just spoke to Lee Zeidman, the president of Crypto.com arena, regarding the lights/nets at the Oilers’ morning skate. He said the ice crew was following standard procedure grooming the ice for a scheduled 11:30am start but the Oilers “chose to take the ice early.”

FYI, work to replace center-ice logo that says Staples Center to Crypto.com logo will start after Laker game on Dec. 23. Per , work will go thru the night of the 23rd, all day on the 24th to install logo and build ice. (more)
