Very sad to see this. Walgreens has closed 17 locations in the past five years and many elderly and disabled people are having a hard time getting their medicines.

Perhaps having national monopolies for pharmaceuticals is a bad idea.

Do you really not grasp that no one can profitably operate under these conditions or is this a troll?

Who's going to set up a shop providing medicine if they aren't making profit from it, you?

There's no such country where you loot the aisles of drugstores at your heart's content.

there are plenty of countries that provide basic needs so folks don't have to loot a drug store

It's a big assumption to think people loot drugstores because their basic needs aren't met. Hint: shaving cream and shampoo aren't those. And honestly: what countries would those be?

So why exactly do you think this person is robbing a drugstore, if it isnt to ensure that their needs are met? They wouldnt need to sell stolen items if their healthcare, housing, and food was taken care of

See if you can be honest with me and yourself and answer this question, can you name any other reasons why someone might steal, other than to provide for their needs? Needs being essentials, food shelter etc.
