  21. So...there is exactly one entry for "cybernetics" in The Whole Earth Catalog's index. Hmmm. Meanwhile, an obvious candidate for the hippy/computer nexus - Ted Nelson's Computer Lib (1974) - uses the word once. And it was published in Chicago, where the author was based.
