It's time to shift the conversation from what an AR system should look like to what an AR experience should feel like. Announcing Project North Star, a full platform that lets us chart a world where digital and physical exist as a single experience:

Should VR/AR apps feature gravity in their UI? Yes! But differently. In the real world, gravity pulls everything down. But in VR/AR UX, each UI element can have its own form of gravity, thus attracting all relevant surrounding elements to it. Redesign physics to suit your app!

It's crazy most people don't know what comes after a trillion, but soon most computing will be beyond the trillions. Strange, we may never see those numbers, instead of billion, trillion, quadrillion, quintillion, we'll see tera, peta, exa, zetta, yotta, remember what these mean!

What's needed is a new spirit of exploration – of uncovering the unexpected and being open to strange possibilities. Augmented reality can do this for us, but only if we design it that way.
