I asked Mitchell what he says when his kids ask him what HE does for a living?

Any response?

No. And anyone that gets on your timeline saying they are 100% pro life you should ask? Do you favor the death penalty? Do you eat meat? Do you support child care and education? If they answer yes to either of the first two questions and no to the third, they ain't 100% pro-life.

I used all 280 characters for that tweet. Whew.

This isn’t hard. OMSI is currently running an exhibit featuring real human fetuses at various stages of development. I took my kids there last weekend. The topic of “what if you don’t want to be pregnant” cake up.
-
*came up. Anyway, we talked about abortion and why a person might choose one. Weirdly, neither of my kids was traumatized by the idea that sometimes women choose to stop being pregnant.
-
It’s hard for the topic of abortion not to come up when you’re staring at a bunch of human fetus is that aren’t inside of a person.
-
I love this story. Also, talking to a teenage boy and his response to his girlfriend possibly getting pregnant was “oh, she’d have an abortion.” It was good that he would be supportive, bad that he would be assumptive. We had a chat to ensure full comprehension.

Most doctors that perform abortions are Ob-Gyns who have practices that include all other aspects of women’s health. There aren’t doctors that just do abortions all day.
-
There are, but that’s because state laws made them limit their practices.

I was 15. Given the "choice" of homelessness or an abortion by my mom. So I had the abortion. And the trauma set upon me worsened by the clinic asking why I waited so long (10 wks). I am 43, and am traumatized entirely. I needed someone like you. Compassionate, respectful.
-
I was seventeen. I had a miscarriage. Can’t tell you how much I struggled, even with that, and I was facing that choice. Love you.
-
I'm sorry for all you've endured. Love you.
-
I wish I could have been there for you. For both of you.

I don't usually hear OB-GYNs referred to as "abortion doctors." I mean is that a subspecialty when you're in med school? Asking for a friend...
-
Yeah no. ;)

If you consider abortion a morally good or even neutral thing (as you do) then I don’t understand why you would have any problem telling your kids in detail exactly what you do
-
ER doctors don't typically explain in detail the fragments of bone and bullet they pull from patients, or the way exposed bone from road rash looks to their kids, but you do you.
-
If my kid asked what I did in that situation I’d say I was an ER doc and if they wanted detail I would tell them that I help take the bullets out of people that have been shot and car accident victims - bc these are morally good things and I’d have no problem with my kid knowing
-
I wasn’t given a qualifier of how old these children were. I would definitely tell them all of the things I do, including abortion, because chances are they would need to protect themselves against harassment in my absence.
-
I was guessing 6-8 or so, otherwise they'd just Google it.
