    I just received my first copies of the real "Ready to Fly: How Sylvia Townsend Became the Bookmobile Ballerina," which I wrote with A. LaFaye and was illustrated by Jessica Gibson. HarperCollins. So wonderful to hold it in my hand. I can't stop smiling. Book birthday 1/20/2020

    Held first copy of "It Rained Warm Bread," which I illustrated and helped create. Gloria Moskowitz-sweet and Hope Anita Smith did a brilliant job with the words. It sings, but in a minor key. Thanks to Christy Ottaviano and Abi Samoun for making this dream come true.
