While the politicians make speeches telling the Lebanese people that they agree w/ their demands, even claim that they always sought to implement the protesters demands but are victims of other politicians, the media outlets they control tell a whole different story.

The media controlled by politicians is behaving just like Assad-controlled media in Syria. Fabrications, mischaracterizations, rewriting of history, spreading of conspiracy theories, and even faking street interviews. 5/

From these media outlets and their messaging, it is obvious that the politicians have no intention to deliver on any of their promises. And as long as this behavior continues, the protesters should not believe a single word coming from the political class. 6/
