    I love Super Bowl ads. I cry over Super Bowl ads. I dream of Super Bowls ads. But the problem with most Super Bowl campaigns is that they’re a one-off ad. Not a campaign that engages customers on, off and around their 30 secs of fame. And don’t make the most of the investment.

    Next time I have jury duty I’m gonna tell the judge I don’t need to hear from any witnesses, because frankly this country is too divided, and also even if the guy did it, that doesn’t mean he should be convicted, and then I’m gonna just leave and not take questions from reporters

    I'd question offering free memberships instead of a Super Bowl ad - especially considering the creative muscle Ryan Reynolds can muster. Sure it doesn't cost the full price of the ad, but remains more likely to speak to those already keen to sign up, and soon to be out of mind.

    Counterpoint: 1/ Clients LOOOVE awards. Many make it a KPI. 2/ Not all awards are equal, but creatively awarded campaign over-perform on effectiveness (IPA). 3/ We’re drowning already in samey, safe crap. A little ambition won’t hurt.
