I say, however (and feel free to disagree) that the tax cuts to income and corporation tax are amazing. The big thing I say with cutting tax is that by doing so, you appear more competitive to companies wanting to set up in America

Gas is around 20 dollars to fill up a Honda Civic, which is around 13 gallons. Our taxes vary by state. Like in Nebraska you can go buy a loaf of bread or any grocery item and not pay a tax. But in Illinois you'll pay a sales tax.

Here in the UK, as far as I'm aware, bread comes under "Essentials" so it's not taxed at all, nor is anything else in that tax group. However, things like tissues and feminine hygiene products are classed as "Luxury" items and are given anywhere up yo 20% tax on them ...

What I find stupid is feminine hygenic products considered a 'luxury' tax. I can see the case for Tampons. But pads should never be taxed or considered 'luxury'.

As a male, I totally disapprove of the "luxury" tax on feminine hygiene products, as well as this tax applying yo toilet paper and tissues. Going to the toilet / periods / stuffy noses aren't luxury, and I would fight to get this silly tax removed

I've always found it odd they find those items 'luxery'. As I said, the same people who would shame women for not wearing hygenic products. Periods are gross and unsanitary and suck

Indeed

as far as I'm aware, I think condoms are classed as "Pharmaceuticals" as well so they aren't taxed (or they're taxed very little), so I don't see why feminine hygiene products can't be classed the same way, or even better as "essentials".2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -
