  3. Today I urged the Govt to release Kickstart Scheme data at a local level, after concerns were raised at a business roundtable. The Minister revealed only 19% of Kickstart places created so far in SE have been filled. Local data will help us get more young people into these jobs.

Too many people’s lives are blighted by discrimination and hate. We will always stand up against homophobia, transphobia and biphobia in the UK and around the world. Together let’s build a fair society where everyone’s rights and dignity are protected.

  6. Last week I met with the Floods Minister, Defra officials and the Environment Agency about flooding in my constituency and significant issues in Abingdon, Yarnton, Radley, South Hinksey and elsewhere. Residents deserve better than the protection they have.

APPG Chair says the Covid public inquiry must look into the delay in adding India to the red list. "It does appear that Boris Johnson put the pursuit of a post-Brexit trade deal with India ahead of public health."

It does appear that Boris Johnson put the pursuit of a post-Brexit trade deal with India ahead of public health. The Covid public inquiry must look into this decision and whether it was influenced by politics and not the science.

Proud to be part of this movement producing a significant change and possible progressive alliance across a county that has never seen the Conservatives in opposition. My division has never been anything other than blue: history in the making!

At least 20,000 passengers who could have been infected with the Indian variant were able to enter the UK while Boris Johnson delayed imposing travel restrictions. Chair of the APPG says this was a "catastrophic error of judgement."

The Govt is failing the homeless by not repealing the Vagrancy Act, despite over 60 MPs and Peers from 5 parties backing my call for action. They’ve put a draconian protest crackdown and voter ID law above scrapping a law that criminalises rough sleeping.

Boris Johnson must take responsibility for the failure to prevent the Indian variant taking root in the UK. Once again the Govt acted too late, and the country is sadly paying the price. Govt must listen to the advice of their own scientists.
