    UPDATE: Ministry of Health in reports that they have temporarily suspended testing COVID-19 at the clinic's lab, and that a number of lab staff were injured including one doctor who sustained serious head injuries. We will continue to monitor.

    🚨 Deeply disturbing news from our team who report a Ministry of Health building & Al Remal clinic have been targeted by Israeli airstrikes. COVID-19 lab testing has been suspended, and staff from the hotline injured. Residential buildings are still being targeted.

    Today I urged the Govt to release Kickstart Scheme data at a local level, after concerns were raised at a business roundtable. The Minister revealed only 19% of Kickstart places created so far in SE have been filled. Local data will help us get more young people into these jobs.

    I coordinated this letter to the PM as Chair of the . The current inquiry timetable of spring 2022 means vital lessons could go unlearned ahead of any potential third wave.

    It does appear that Boris Johnson put the pursuit of a post-Brexit trade deal with India ahead of public health. The Covid public inquiry must look into this decision and whether it was influenced by politics and not the science.
