Is there any insight yet on which pupils have chosen to come back now? Ie are vulnerable children returning or are their parents choosing to keep them home? If the latter the gap widens and defeats the purpose of early opening up?

It's time ALL politicians put tribalism aside and did their best for everyone . . .

We were talking about my primary school best friend tonight. He was the brightest, most talented guy in our year group. His family situation was desperate. I'm 60 and thinking about the next stage of my life. He's dead from a grindingly hard life.

Saw someone suggest we do catch-up at part-time school during Sept-December and start the new school (and Uni/College) year in January. And run academic years Jan-Dec from here on. Great plan.

Scotland used to be well up the league tables when it came to education, however, under SNP standards have slipped substantially. Whilst I agree well-being being paramount Covid19 is going to affect our kids, let's hope Parties can unite for the benefit of all.

Change the primary curriculum please!!! The one Gove and Cummings put together is a vague mess and has far too much to cover properly on one year - especially at primary level.
