OMG we have an education secretary.... wow where’s he been?
I questioned the Education Secretary today on the decision to reopen some schools in a few weeks. Govt has failed to consult with school leaders, teachers and unions on the details of its guidance. That’s not good enough. They must publish all scientific advice on this

There is a simple point. 15 kids per class is proposed. Now, sat 2m apart, most class rooms will not accomodate this many children. 10, maybe 12. The point is if it is not safe for 30children to learn, socialise and play together then school loses a primary purpose.

The announced plans are simply careless, feckless and driven by ignorance and idiocy. My children will return to school when it is safe for the whole school tonreturn with ALL activities as before. Otherwise it is a pointless, potentially dangerous exercise.
