  It's often about girls wanting to wear trousers, but female students at my last school lobbied for the right to wear ties! They felt that the boys looked much more like they "meant business" with ties on. When I left teaching, the matter was still under consideration...

  Unbelievable that in nearly third decade of 21st century girls can not wear trousers or shorts like boys as school uniform! It is rather sad how @HouseofCommons chamber was as empty as when @CarolineLucas presented her #ClimateChange bill. Is it #sexism or #indifference

  When I first came to England on a school exchange trip, aged 13. I was mortified & shocked to have to wear a skirt to join in the sport session of the school. It was the first time ever I had been made to wear a skirt. I felt naked. I felt humiliated. I felt something was wrong.
