On the topic of snow, is there a recommended way to deal with the snow/ice buildup in the precipitation receptacle? I've got a multi-sensor jammed with snow. The station reads 0" precipitation but that's definitely not the case as of late.

As for snowfall readings, the sensor is not really designed to measure this. The rain sensor requires precipitation in liquid form to drip through the sensor's rain collector for accurate RAINFALL readings, unfortunately not snowfall. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks! Are there any plans for a product or sensor that could account for snowfall? It'd come in handy here for about half the year.

Unfortunately, not at this time. Snow it quite a hard thing to measure accurately, with drifts, wet snow, dry snow, sleet/rain mix all having their own distinct characteristics. Plus over time, snow typically compacts, but again the rate of this is dependent on the conditions.
