if you truly believed that effective and respectful communication is the way to go, you would have realized that telling people how to voice their opinions is ineffective and stopped doing it by now
Now that makes no sense at all!! How do we move toward civil and respectful discourse if we're not allowed to point out the lack of civil and respectful discourse? And, sometimes, in language that might cross that line too?
We don't give civility to war mongers who gave none to their victims. Thousands of civilians dead by his orders and helped enable mass incarceration, while he watched americans die of AIDS -- never lifting a finger to help them. If hell exists, he is surely there.
I knew I was going to get flamed for the comment to Molly. But, believe it or not; life is complicated. I had the AIDS debate with someone over the weekend; the consensus is that there's plenty of blame to go around. Including blame to Bush 41.
(Just FYI, I sometimes cross the line too. But when called out on it don't hesitate to say, "Oops, sorry." Give it a try. Our country has enough petulant schoolyard-style bullies, and I could use some help.)
good god please remove yourself from my mentions, you boring self righteous old man.
See, you made your point without even once crossing the line. It is possible!
Dude. Some of us are waiting on extremely important mail this week tied to a deadline for health insurance. I'm all for respecting the dead but suspending mail during the end of open enrollment isn't fair to the rest of us.
Trump declared it a National Day of Mourning. Any President would. I'm waiting on checks (I have my own business); but I don't take it out against grieving people.
