Indeed. No-one’s saying @WHO is perfect & does not need reform—however, member states have chronically underfunded it plus only allow it to do so much due to squabbling / politics. Not funding it DURING a pandemic is not the solution.
It’s the only way to get reforms at the WHO. It been a total corrupt shitshow at the upper executive level. Fix it get the funds. No more status quo.

Tedros not only mandated, but, also, in tandem with PRC, explicitly encouraged the UK’s refusal to implement travel restrictions. This support assisted the government’s herd immunity strategy which has already cost thousands of lives.

The WHO pretty much had one job in this and they failed miserably. The president then did his part in failing the country. This whole thing has been the definition of a sh*t show.
No one cares. They are a bloated self serving bureaucracy that fails in its primary task and helped China unleash a pandemic on the world.
The @WHO has proven itself to be a completely corrupt & inept organization. They have actively fought against health during this pandemic - not least of which by insisting travel bans didn’t work (ok so why did China ban domestic travel but not international?)
This is an organization that spent nearly HALF of its annual budget on first class flights & 5 star hotels & you think we should reward that sort of incompetence by continuing to fund them? How about no. How about find an organization that can recognize reality
