Here’s the back story A series of protest actions started about 3 months ago wen a government senator and the assistant director of public prosecutions are said to have shot a man in his home. The people asked that the senator resign/be suspended and Gonsalves said no - 1/a few

The case is now before the court it took weeks for anything investigations etc to take place, this infuriated people and caused the first set of protest actions. People reason that the government continues to interfere with the justice system (Yugge saga etc) 2/few

Eventually the protest snowballed as the government was not successful in having conversations with the unions re vaccination drive, and a slow uptake in vaccination the government said people can be fired for not taking the vaccine

People thought this to be wrong, the government moved to have an increase in vaccination by making it “mandatory” and also be amending the public health act basically giving employers the right to demand an employees health status. People think their health info is private. 3/few

Bruh- this has several levels, I was just informed by someone in closer range of view that it was actually a police officer swinging the baton at a protester and missed and it hit the PM.
