Of course plenty of trans "allies" are condemning these moms/dads & praising their impressionable young adult kids--who often had little to no therapy--for undertaking drastic medical interventions. /2

Once a child becomes a legal adult, it's ridiculously easy to obtain cross-sex hormones at US informed consent clinics. And there appears to be a growing number of surgeons willing to cut off body parts when a patient doesn't "identity" with them. /3

Frequently their
#ROGD kids (many who have pre-existing mental health issues) are getting plenty of affirmation that they're indeed trans, non-binary, etc. Lots of virtue-signalers heap on praise, making them feel special & a part of a tribe. /4Show this thread -
These "friends" encourage
#ROGD kids to become their "authentic selves" despite health risks. They recommend trans-IDing kids to distance themselves from skeptical friends & family members. But these "allies" won't likely be there if they later regret their body modifications. /5Show this thread

I don't have statistics. But of the ROGD parents I know, there are quite a few kids (like mine) who've desisted from a trans ID. And, then there are kids who, once they attain legal adulthood, easily obtain cross-sex hormones & surgeries, often with with little to no therapy. /1
