    This is true … there are charter school leaders who support a moratorium because their schools are just as at risk of closure. School closures are traumatic for families and neighborhoods. Right now there is no master plan for number and location of schools as population shrinks

    I’ve gotten lots of questions & emails about the Board of Alderman Youth and Education Matters committee hearing today on a motion to discuss a motion for a moratorium on new schools. Despite the narrative being painted this is not a charter vs. SLPS issue..nor is it anti-choice
