ROGD is thrown around as evidence that teens are brainwashed into being trans, because them not coming out when very young means they're inventing it as teens. Don't believe that. Puberty changes the body a LOT, that's why there's a spike in coming out in teen years.

I didn't come out until I hit puberty for exactly that reason, it wasn't until I started getting facial hair, an adam's apple, a deep voice, that a lot of my discomfort with my body manifested. As a child I didn't know those aspects would feel so wrong and alien.

Yesterday I wrote a rebuttal to Lisa Littman's garbage study on
#ROGDhttps://genderexpressive.wordpress.com/2018/09/14/rapid-onset-gender-dysphoria-a-rebuttal-of-the-lisa-littman-study/ … -
Well that was a kinder rebuttal than she deserved

And what they actually mean by ROGD is the parents are saying "oh don't wear/do/say/play with that, it's for boys/girls" whenever the kids are expressing their gender identity and then acting shocked when the kid comes out as trans. ROGD = "i wasn't paying attention" tbh

That, or people not knowing that gender dysphoria is a thing and transition is possible, so they put the pieces together later on in life. The feeling was always there, but no one talked about it, there were no words for it, so it couldn't be discussed or addressed.

It seems so incredibly stupid to imagine that people "become" trans just because it's trendy '_' Like seriously, have they even thought half a second about what it means and brings to come out as trans?

Also it can appear sudden to parents ect because *gasp* kids hide things from their parents. I still haven't told mine. The fallout could literally be life destroying so I'm waiting for a better time

My dysphoria started, idk like, around 8-10, i didnt even know trans was a thing back then, and its gotten worse over time, most of my dreams now include me as my ideal body and i wake up a dysphoric mess seeing me as this thing, i pull it off as "just waking my body up slowly"
