I’ve heard across the board that people had infinitely better experiences this year. A lot of us did a lot of prep work, it showed, there’s a huge paper trail that campaign precinct captains signed off on at each caucus and the party will report it...

Hey so I’d like to start a positive thread. At the precinct in Capital Square almost 300 people registered to vote.

Was just an observer at DM62 but honestly it all went smoothly, the caucus itself was great, but the reporting flopped big time

I echo the sentiment of a fellow Precinct 62-er quoted in this piece. As a first-timer, I was nervous and had little idea of what to expect. I was elated and proud when everything at the Knapp Center went smoothly, efficiently, and mostly civilly.

I've been told NH isn't bothered by straw polls at GOP caucuses because those "votes" don't determine delegate allocation. Rs choose delegates later after most people have gone home. Iowa Ds connect head count to how many delegates each candidate receives in each precinct.

I haven't heard turnout numbers. Our precinct was higher than 2016 but not close to 2008 turnout level.

My gut feeling is we just witnessed the last caucuses as we know them. The only thing and NH have going for them is that among critics, there's no consensus on which other states should start the process.

Sad to hear about problems at this Ames precinct. At our precinct and many others I heard about, most people stuck around until after realignment and delegate allocation was clear. (Then most left before delegates were actually elected.)

If they were going to release piecemeal results they should have already started doing that. No point waiting until late this afternoon to release half the precincts. Who knows if those will be representative?

While everyone's obsessing about , Republican lawmakers are trying to make future bans immune from court challenge. Same legislation is already through a state Senate committee. Background:

Because of the sheer dominance of Sanders at the Bilingual-Latinx satellite location last night, instead of trying to win over some of their delegates before re-alignment, I just thanked my latinx community for participating in large numbers.

Just talked to Woodbury County precinct 3 captain who said he had tested app over weekend, had no problems, and also fine last night. He said suspects state party expected receiving more results via app over phoning, then reality was flipped on more phoning than app.

This would have been a shot in the arm for Warren at a time when she needed it.

Appears that only campaign was encouraging supporters to attend the bilingual satellite caucus in . In Marshall County 1-1 (a precinct with a large population), Bernie got 7 of 9 delegates up for grabs, said last night.

. has noted Bernie's strength among is under-reported. According to , this bilingual satellite caucus had 187 participants. -4 total candidates were represented. -27 needed for viability -171 people for Bernie, 16 for all others. He got all 9 delegates

With 4 or 5 candidates at or near viability in many areas, imagine how much worse would have been without new rule saying only Democrats in nonviable groups could realign. Would have been many attempts to screw someone out of a delegate.

Seems like most precinct caucuses ran pretty smoothly. I didn't hear about ugly scenes (shouting matches, people accusing others of cheating, etc).

The two biggest problems with the caucuses could be solved by allowing early voting/absentee ballots. Leaders of (over decades) have never pushed for that, not wanting to upset NH's Sec of State.
