Why am I telling people what I do? What I do is ask my doctor for diet advice. This is not a controversial opinion. Fad diets are bad. The end.

I'm just saying diet is the same as Mental health. I wouldn't go on Twitter and say "Stop. Using. Xanax." Just because it CAN be an addictive substance. Yes, that's true, but I also don't know each person's situation, so it's really more concern trolling than anything else IMHO.

As someone who cut the majority of carbs from snacks/meals (still the occasional treat and always oatmeal for breakfast) and have been feeling significantly better both mentally and physically for 2+ years, can confirm it’s different for everyone. Carbs personally make me groggy

That sounds like it falls under the "maintainable lifestyle choices" category. I am not advocating that everyone eat the max amount of carbs per day. I am saying carbs are necessary. You cut the majority of carbs. You still eat carbs.

I only chimed in because I felt the conversation became a bit of an attack on people who choose to live a certain way, whether intentional or not, and wanted to share my side. Everyone is different and it’s important to listen to our bodies above all and when we feel healthy.

Saying "Stop cutting out carbs from your diet for fad diets because doctors say that carbs are necessary for most people and if you disagree you should talk to your doctor" is not an attack on people's lifestyle choices.

Except that you didn't phrase it that way. You just told people to "Stop. Cutting. Carbs" for fad diets and then said "Eat Better," not really mentioning that people should discuss matters with their doctor, or recognizing that really diet is not a "one size fits all" situation.

Sure, which I then clarified in my responses to you. Twitter has no edit feature. What else am I to do in this situation?

I mean, there's always the option of saying "Yeah I could see how that might have sounded like an attack. That's not what I meant though, sorry about that!"

If it's an apology you want, I'm sorry for not phrasing the above better. But it's pretty unfair for you to hold me to a single tweet when I've given you plenty of others clarifying that my position sides with medical science and that I encourage others to see a doctor.

Dude, just to be clear, I'm not mad at you, and I don't think you're some sort of terrible human being for making one tweet that could be taken the wrong way. I don't need an apology, but you asked "What else am I to do in this situation" so I just provided a simple way out. 1/2
