If you get the extended edition on either DVD or Blu-Ray, they have it intact, but strangely in 4:3 only?

I have the Blu ray but can't find it. It's probably only in 4:3 because it wasn't in the theatrical release only VHS.

Correct. It's one of Caine's best moments in the film, & it communicates what Scrooge lost better than any other adaptation.

Yes full screen DVD it is intact. Bluray & widescreen version don't have it sadly. It's a beautiful song & shouldn't be cut!
