Since when did President's Day become a "real" holiday? Like, people asking for 2x rate or are N/A citing "Its a national holiday..." Am I just being a curmudgeon?pic.twitter.com/V24FU2Z2aP

'MURICA! Honestly, though, it depends on which industry you work in (it was for us when I worked for the EDA). For most people it's definitely NOT a holiday

Same. It's just... a lot of VO peeps/agencies are saying, "You know its a holiday, right?" Like, what could you POSSIBLY be doing to "celebrate" President's Day?

If it's a union project they might be letting you know because you'll have to pay double scale, as it is a national holiday. For non u, some people with kids who have school off etc might not be available so they can watch the kids, or, pre covid, could be taking a vacation.
