The minute you send that audition off into the ether, that's the end of it. It's the hardest thing to train yourself to do but you HAVE to forget about it. So since you've already in theory forgotten about it, no need to be told you didn't get it. It's assumed.

All you can do as an actor is to audition. Many times, it takes up to months or a year to get a call back from the audition whether you got casted or not so that's why pretty much, you just send your audition and pretty much your done.
