Amen. That's an iconic song and scene in an equally iconic movie. To this day, it's one of my all-time favorites. (Young folks: If you are going to watch this film, you must listen to "The Love Is Gone". It's mandatory to witness such brilliance on the screen.)

They removed it??? I can’t imagine the film without it.

If memory serves, it wasn't in the theatrical release, but was included on the VHS. Each subsequent release since the VHS though has the theatrical version with the song cut.

Absolutely. Cutting that song robs Michael Caine of his best scene as he breaks down behind Belle.

Plus its just weird that she says "You did once," walks away, and everyone is crying. ALSO it's so important because of the last song of the film being "The Love We Found" which calls back to that moment and is so key to Scrooge's entire journey through the film.

I just found this out last night! It IS THERE?! Oh thank goodness! That was my audition song for years. It’s so good! I can’t believe they ever cut it.
