Check at our new preprint! We looked at reliability in 36 versions of the emotional dot probe task in 9000+ people, including those with high anxiety. We found lots of noise and not much signal, even among anxious participants. Congrats on the excellent work!

1/ Very excited to say we've just posted a preprint validation study for our new Multiracial Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (MRMET). This test of social cognition was meant to improve on the orig Mind in the Eyes test, thru inclusion of diverse faces.

Really appreciate this thread from . This in particular was EXACTLY how I felt (+ was perceived - most know me as “the TestMyBrain.org person”). It was convo w/Brian at that critical stage that helped me see another “mold” for an academic that fit what I was.

Backchannel feedback to my advisor from places I applied confirmed that I wasn't quite fitting the mold. I was a "techie" My prominent contribution was "just a website" That made me mad not sad. I felt good about how I was doing my work and had my own vision for its importance.
