I think the diff in the US is we have legalized and highly regulated our system of bribery and influence.

Also... corrupt ghost taxes, employee death threats, rapid currency changes, widespread mutant diseases, monopoly vendors, customs limbo, and internal theft. Yikes. So much is taken for granted in first world nations. And many ways to help solve international problems.

Simple things we take for granted, like opening a bank account in a day in North America took me months in Central America.

Bribes are very common in this country too -- money in politics is a perfect example.

Thats actually happens here in the US too... maybe less... but I’m sure it happens

the fact that you say "I'm sure it happens" shows just as less often it happens. In a lot of other countries, you would definitely know

The most important part is the entrepreneurial infrastructure composed of other people with knowledge/experience and formal structures (funds) who/which are actively searching for the next “thing”. This is US’s amazing legacy and the engine which keeps it always ahead of times.

Good point. It’s really sad when entrepreneurs
#fail not because of bad execution/ideas but as a result of old rigid regulations, an immature ecosystem, subjective opinions of government employees, or the combination of these and more! Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

A few years in international sales support showed how we take Western business ethics for granted. Like, an American business will get the same basic treatment from New Zealand, Australia, S Africa, and Canada. But must be cautious with the Caribbean, S America, Africa major, etc

Completely agree with you; I think we should take out more time to be more thankful and humble, because we usually take so many things for-granted. Even things we deem as insignificant are of great value in our lives.
