I considered doing a video on this, but let's have a very brief discussion on The Neverhood, since people are confused as to why it's not mentioned anywhere in my recent videos. There's a good reason for it.

The game itself: Really unique. I consider it a piece of artwork more than an enjoyable gameplay experience, because truth be told, I didn't LIKE playing it. The things I like about it are the visual style, tone, and the atmosphere, so I appreciate it a lot on that level.

I used to like it a lot more before the designer became very public about his anti-gay marriage and terrible views about the LGBTQ community. I am not straight, so this does not fly with me. It's a shame, because his work is creative and iconic. I acknowledge the work.

I think it's okay to enjoy the game retroactively. We all have things from our past that became tainted later on. Sometimes we find out our favorite creators are assholes, and it sucks. But MOVING FORWARD, I don't feel comfortable supporting those things.

Replying to @PushinUpRoses
Personaly, while it sucks DougT does not support LBGT, none of his views are in the game, The game is abandonware at this point and he cant profit directly from it, EA owns it iirc, and other people worked on it. He seems overal irrelevant in the industry now so why should I care

Everyone has there own threashold of when they can seporate the art from the artist, and not wanting to support people you don't like is your right, but personaly despite not being straight it does not effect my enjoyment, especaly since its unlikely it will ever be sold again
