That's not entirely Rockstars fault. Licensing for the music expired so they were legally obligated to remove those songs or face lawsuits.
Still it's weird to see, imaginge going back to Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 on PS2 to find licensed music has been stripped out, or, SEGA has to license the music from Sonic 1 and 2 from it's composer, imaginge going back to Sonic 1 and hearing the off-brand Lego Dimensions versions.

Main stream Video games going online was going to have this negative effect as music companies are going to pull shit like this. Whatever a greedy companies can do to get a piece of the pie.
