As good as the game looks, it's kind of bothersome how SLIGHTLY off the character models look, mostly with proportions. The most off thing being SB's hands are way too small. The Backgrounds seem amazing though.

Also, seeing how nice looking and accurate the 3D environments are to the show's painted backgrounds, imagine how cool it would be if all the characters were cel shaded. They could probably get it very close to looking like the animated show.

how does it compare to the original game's design?
The original was very spot on to the show. You can see how small his hands and legs are, the lower half of his body is wider, pupils are bigger, and the old even made his side shading green and blue like the show. Very small details but enough to make him look off imo.pic.twitter.com/fDRsE0fbsp
Yeah I thought the new “in-game” art looked kinda off, especially SpongeBob. I do think they’ll probably tidy it up by the time the game is released though. These seem just like mockups anyhow.

The ones from the second movie look better than the one in the game. The one in the game has mistakes not present in any other movie or game.
