Making gameplay videos and unboxings that get a decent amount, (300K total) my sub number barely jumps up. I get one sub a week at this rate.
Honestly looking at your channel you would be making basicly nothing from ads, I get over 100k views per MONTH and I earn enough to eat lunch once per month, and you have to earn a total of $100 before you get a payout. If you are under the limit, you are not earning anything.
I don’t really care about how I would make little. I just think not allowing me to even try and have it build up over years is stupid due to an arbitrary number. I made around $25 over the two years I had it running before the rule change, so a gradual increase is fine.
While I don't deny YT has some anti-creator stuff, To me it just seems more practical to not wanting to deal with channels who earn $13 a year. I get 1-2 payouts a year at my rate, for an amount that is less than 1 week pay at minimum wage. It would be nice, but impracticable.
I’m not in it solely for the money after all, I just think that the many ways they’re screwing smaller channels like me from being noticed to begin with is just stupid, and the same would apply if this was a spam situation over an ad one. Small channels would get ignored
I’ve heard plenty about how random channels are getting pulled for misc “Spam” violations that are little more than errors, and that’s another factor in my anger. If a small channel like mine dealt with that, there would be no chance of getting their attention.
