So many rom sites are closing down and all I can think of is how to preserve games now without having to spend loads of money to buy the physical game... If only there were sites dedicated to uploading and preserving those games... 
I think most could still exist if they just took down the Nintendo, Capcom, SEGA, Rare, and PS1 stuff that is for sale currently. In general it mostly seems to be Nintendo who cares and they can't dmca games they did not make or do not own, even if it's on their system.
