You may have seen us at EPIC earlier this week testing out our newest addition to our Emergency Services toolbox. This underwater ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) will be used to assist divers during rescue and recovery operations.

We have expanded the coverage of our Winter Weather Advisory to include the Berthoud and Loveland area, where a strong band of snowfall is bringing up to 1 inch per hour snowfall rates this morning. Expect reduced visibility and snowy roads for the morning commute. #COwx

Today we welcomed Class 01 of 2023 and Sheriff Feyen swore them in! These professional staffers, jail, and patrol deputies will begin training next week. They're all eager to serve the community and we look forward to seeing their accomplishments as their careers develop!

Graphic shows the current highlights in effect. Winter Weather Advisory for much of northeast and north central Colorado. Winter Storm Warnings for the mountains of western Colorado, as well as Wyoming and western/northern Nebraska.
Latest snowfall forecast, with totals ranging from 1-3 inches across the I-25 Corridor and foothills, to as much as 6 inches in the far northeast corner of the state, and 3-8 inches in the mountains.
Graphic shows light ice accumulations, mainly a tenth of an inch or less, over the plains and foothills. Travelers tips are also included for ice and snow, including slowing down, watching out for black ice, allowing extra stopping distance.
