Just saying, if there's a 10% service charge there's really no need for a tip line

they are different, but tips are there to encourage good service. Service charge is so the owners don't have to pay servers as much.

true, not all restaurants give the full 10 or 15% to the server, some give as little as 4 or not at all. I see the need for

the extra tip line, but for the restaurants that do give either full 10% or 9 etc. it's costly for the customer. Its called double tipping

so those places do put the cost upon the consumer, but it's usually the server ppl get mad at for that when we just tryna make money

ayy no, I just been on both sides of that argument as well. Had to explain to many irritated customers succinctly why SC existed.
