Just saying, if there's a 10% service charge there's really no need for a tip line

they are different, but tips are there to encourage good service. Service charge is so the owners don't have to pay servers as much.

true, not all restaurants give the full 10 or 15% to the server, some give as little as 4 or not at all. I see the need for

the extra tip line, but for the restaurants that do give either full 10% or 9 etc. it's costly for the customer. Its called double tipping

oh yeah, I worked at a place that had 10% sc but gave the server 7%, the cooks 2%, hosts 1%. But servers got paid less than min wage
