It’s one thing to refrain from going to an establishment based on a bad experience, but to actively convince others to do the same is terrible. Word of mouth makes a big impact on their ability to succeed.
Tbh as a F&B worker some places are shady af with really bad hygiene/food handling practices, so I like when others tell me, if my health depends on it. The critique I don't like to hear: "they're expensive" without any accompanying details. That I don't pay attention to as much

I def agree with that. I just see too many instances of “oh I didn’t like my food, so no one should go there”. Sometimes places have a bad night The cost reviews are also pretty one sided because people tend to have a flawed idea of what things should be priced at/

The one that annoys me is the comparison to fast food. Yes, you can get a McDouble for a dollar, but no, that doesn’t necessarily mean your $10 burger made from scratch is overpriced.
