Serious, question professional writing twitter: how do you pivot into writing? I am a chef, I love food culture and I can talk about it for ever. And I am starting to fall apart physically. The only place I can still be near what I love doing is probably writing.

You can definitely look into your local news and foodie sites and see if they have a submission link, it should list their requirements & preferences for feature/editorial/opinion submissions. That can get you started. Alternatively, starting a blog or website gives you control.

Oh maybe look into submitting others! I bet there are a few Zines and Indie local news or web blogs that look for reviews like that and will pay!
