Question: do they only really teach Guam history in Guam history class? Does it exclude NMI History? Did you have to take a Guam history class in school? I know its diff for private schools too.

Guam history was a required credit aside from Chamoru class, my freshman year. Somehow, it was abolished & grouped with everything considered “electives.” Saddening, because it went from being mandatory to learn to learn about it if you want.

Interesting. CNMI History was required for us in my hs too. It did include some about Guam, but there are huge gaps. I didn't start learning Guam history until I took polisci & CHamoru classes at UOG too.

But we had no Chamorro class when I was in hs, which I'm pretty annoyed about tbh. We should have had that option. Tbh they should have given us the option to learn Refaluwasch too now that I think of it. Wish I knew more words besides the bad ones
