I am not only a product of my culture and upbringing, but I allow myself to be willingly shaped by my friends as well. Those I respect & look up to. They are important to me.

I think of them often. My friends in CNMI, friends in Guam who I haven't seen much of, friends in the U.S. who I pray for their safety and health. Such is the life in a colony of Amerika.

I've also made new friends more recently. Many new friends across our great Pacific. Thanks to this damn bird app & the ancestors, my lines have been connecting + intersecting with other people just as passionate about their culture(s) as me. They are the embodiment of the ocean.

If I could reach out & touch them, it would be to allow them to rest on my shoulder every once in a while. The burdens of expectations are heavy. All my friends know that this shoulder is open to them.
I also may or may not be down to get arrested with/for them. Just saying.
