I don't have a legit board yet
just a tiny one. Tester nei.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
I’ve tried a few times, so if you want something stable on the waves, a long board is better than a short board

Yeah JT is right the bigger the board the easier it is to stand up. We usually teach adults with a board that's at least 8 ft

Yes! Learned that while learning to windsurf this past summer
so to clarify, the one I have is more of a body board as opposed to a surf board. So neni waves are necessary lol.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
Oh so not stand up surfing but body boarding is the goal? Okay that clarifies a lot. In that case it only needs to be as tall as your navel. And you'll also need fins. I started out as a body boarder and it's great for getting used to the waves

Yes been looking into fins actually. Shorter fins right? Also I have never been paddleboarding actually! But I know the windsurfing board is just as big.

Shorter fins from body boarding brands like toobs, dafin, churchill etc. They're made of really pliable rubber so it's relatively comfortable. On bigger days I recommend using fin leashes, and for breaking them in you can use fin socks (the blisters and the cramps are real)

Replying to @youngbiha @Lani4Pasifika and
I've used the same body boarding fins since I was 13 btw so they last forever. Super worth the investment because I still use them when I snorkel and dive
