I believe your kamansi is similar to our dokdok tree! Artocarpus mariannensis is endemic to the Marianas and is also a seeded breadfruit tree, called dokdok in Chamorro. But regular breadfruit is called lemmai.

I know my Dad boils the nuts for a long time before he eats them. That smell is very distinct lol. I always know when he has dokdok.

Interesting! It's funny because the only "sweet" way I've had lemmai prepared is by saibok, where they cook it over an open flame then take out sections and boil with coconut milk. Dokdok as far as I know my Dad doesn't eat besides the nuts, because we don't usually eat ripe onespic.twitter.com/bCjy7Gw0Z2
