Are you speaking to only women who are feminists, or is this tweet based off the assumption that only women are feminists?

Neither. No assumptions. I'm a feminist too. Just a question. Sometimes people do act out of hatred for men rather than love for women. Hated men become hateful men, and if feminism doesnt include mens healing as well there will never be true balance/equality.

Because "feminism" as a movement arose as a response to a world created by men who are hateful of women. Aka patriarchy right? So to truly fix that system men need to heal as well. Hatng men will only further contribute to the system created by hated men.

Sorry to sway topic, but going by that logic, how open are we as indigenous people to also be open to the idea that ypipo, colonizers, need to heal as well? Idk what from but just a thought.

I totally agree. They are partly if not majorly responsible for creating the patriarchy. Many indigenous cultures are matriarchal, making them inherently feminist. Our people for example. Their healing would honestly benefit the whole world.

Being compassionate toward colonizers is valid-ly super hard as fuck. But man I think we all know the world just needs some MAJOR mf luff and reconciliation. For oneself, for the planet, for each other. It’s so simple, yet so complex.

That's in the Pedagogy. "The first thesis is that the dehumanizing situation under which many people live is not a given destiny but rather the result of unjust systematic oppression that fosters violence in the oppressors and dehumanizes the oppressed."

"Here, Freire makes one of his central theses, namely, that in their struggle to regain their humanity, the oppressed must not become the oppressors of their oppressors."

"Freire claims it is only the oppressed who will be able to liberate both themselves and their oppressors by restoring the humanity of both groups." Fuckin beautiful. I recommend this read too! Will be starting on it soon if anyone wants to join me. I may have read it but idk.
