Our ancestors were not perfect people. What is cultural "perfection" anyway? Westernized concepts of efficiency & progress do not apply to cultures. Although improvement isn't a bad thing, who gets to judge it & what do they have to gain? Is it how we want to represent ourselves?

Tbh I am still struggling to comprehend this all as well but it's a learning process I'm beginning to embrace.

Also wanted to be clear that unlearning of Westernized or colonial behaviors and ways of thinking can be done while still using some aspects, such as equality, to inform change. Change is inevitable after all, and we already know this information anyway.
