It's my parents living long enough to see my kids (if I have em) grow up speaking Chamorro to them. My family receiving the care that they need without worrying the cost. Me seeing my culture re-indigenize. Continuing to go to church (problematic as it is) & set an example.

Success to me is having enough in the bank to be comfortable, then donating the rest of my income to community-building projects, funding Chamorro Graduate students, offering microloans at low interest to young indigenous people for their sustainable business ideas.

Success is all of this and more to me. It's being content with island life, yet searching for improvement when I see it's needed. Its being happy with where I am at & what I'm doing, looking back on what I have done, & ancestors before me. It's reconnecting & forging connections.
